A beautiful, autumn, backyard wedding was not the original plan.
Mel & Gareth were looking forward to greeting their family and friends in Mexico for a November destination wedding. & then …
Just like others getting hitched in 2020, they found themselves making those choices – all too familiar for many couples:
Do we cancel ? Postpone? Elope ? Have a reception a year from now? etc etc etc
I asked Mel & Gareth to walk us through their decision process, offer some tips to others in the same dilemma & to share some surprising beautiful moments – gifts of a wedding in a pandemic if you will.

Annika & Connor

Congrats to Annika & Connor – married last weekend at Whistlebear !
It was a gorgeous day & Annika had such a great attitude throughout the challenges presented to her due to COVID. She moved her wedding mostly outdoors, set the dining room floor plan with social distancing in mind. And had all of her family & friends involved in decorating!

Elopement in the Country

Have you ever dreamed of putting the big planning aside and saying “I do” with just the two of you? That was the dream for Shaina and John with their elopement in the country. This ultra intimate wedding with the breathtaking October landscape features gorgeous flowers by From the Potting Shed and the stellar photographer Lindsay Coulter. Chris & Erick

Perhaps it was foreshadowing of what was to come in 2020, or perhaps it was the Universe’s plan all along, or perhaps like usual they were ahead of a trend! Here is the story:

We first met Chris & Erick at the Wedding Ring Show in Hamilton.
Their’s was to be a large & grand wedding in the Spring of 2020.
It was to be beautiful with many friends and family gathered to witness
the big “I do”.

Steph & Ves

One look at Steph & Ves, and it’s hard not to love them! These two had a beautiful October wedding at the historic Knox College Chapel in Toronto (yes we deliver there!), followed by an intimate reception at the Bymark Restaurant.

Steph’s dream bouquet included a mixture of ivory flowers with very dark, handsome greenery. Gorgeous, fragrant garden roses made this simple colour palette shine.
